Pay it Forward Tag......
I've been playing 'Tag' again!! My friend Annemarie had a 'Pay It Forward' Tag and I was one of the lucky winners!! See the cute things I got in the mail from her!
Now it's your turn to play. The first three people to comment on this blog will get a treat in the mail from me!! As Annemarie said....I have no idea what it is yet, but you will love it! Remember, if you comment and get a surprise, you HAVE to play and 'pay it forward' to 3 other people!!
Happy Halloween!

10 Things Tag......
I've been tagged by Annemarie to do this '10 things I can't live without' blog.....so here you go.... (please note: these are in no particular order, so I don't want to hear about what YOU think I should have listed first!))

2. Blogging. It started out as just a fun little thing to do and has quickly become very therapeutic. I can tell anyone who cares (and probably some who don't!) about my kids, my worries, my joys, my sorrows, my frustrations, and anything else that comes to mind. And it's SO much cheaper than therapy! Not to mention the great advice and input I get from friends and strangers!

3. Ibuprofen. Yes, ibuprofen. I get these headaches....they render me useless. Ibuprofen makes me functional again. I love my ibuprofen.

5. My husband and my kids. (and grandkids) Yes, they make me crazy sometimes, but I don't know what I'd do without them!
6. My brother, Peter. He is my best friend. We've weathered many storms together. I would be lost without him.

8. My jeans. They are a staple of my vast (HA!!) wardrobe. They are the required uniform for my job of motherhood. What else can you that will take whatever the kids dish out? I love my jeans!

10. My computer. It is my lifeline to the world. (I don't get out much!) I can check my e-mail, my blog, my bank account, your blog, watch General Conference, movies, and do countless other things. It really is an amazing thing.
So, there you go. More information about me than you ever cared to have. I am tagging NOBODY as they are all still mad at me for the last time I tried to play tag with them. If anyone wants to play, please do, but don't feel obligated because of me!
1. My first thing is Prayer. No, really! I first saw this quote at Girl's Camp a couple of years ago, and I just love it! It is SO true!! If I don't start my day with prayer NOTHING goes right. Prayer is my prozac. It keeps me sane.

4. NCIS. My break from reality. My 1 hour of the week when I can sit back, relax, and just be entertained.
5. My husband and my kids. (and grandkids) Yes, they make me crazy sometimes, but I don't know what I'd do without them!
6. My brother, Peter. He is my best friend. We've weathered many storms together. I would be lost without him.
7. Take 5 Candy Bar!! It has pretzels, caramel, peanuts, peanut butter, and chocolate! What more could you ask from a candy bar!! They are my most recent candy addiction.
8. My jeans. They are a staple of my vast (HA!!) wardrobe. They are the required uniform for my job of motherhood. What else can you that will take whatever the kids dish out? I love my jeans!
9. Sleep. Essential to my survival. And if I don't get enough at night I've been known to make up for it after lunch. Just call it a 'siesta' and pretend you're in Mexico!

Alright, already!!
Okay, so Diane tagged me. Apparently, I've been too slow to respond because now she has had to reminded me that she tagged me. You have to understand, Diane, I'm old and slow. Besides, I'd already blogged on Tuesday, and I needed to do my Wednesday Words of Wisdom blog so I was sort of saving the 'tag' blog for Thursday, but if you're going to get pushy about it......here goes....
The 3 things tag:
3 current goals:
1) Make Diane happy by responding to her 'tag' (I guess I should really be happy about it since I'm too old to play real tag anymore..I can't even outrun the 3 year old at my house! Of course, it could have something to do with the terrible accident I had at my brother's house in February where I fell down his stupid stairs and rolled my ankle! At least I can still play 'blog tag'!)
2) Transfer responsibility for chores/homework to my children (where it belongs!!) I'm tired of asking about chores/homework. There are certain things that you know you need to do and you should do them without your mother reminding you!!
3) Keep getting up when life knocks me down. It would be so easy to stay down, and sometimes it's hard to get back up.
3 current obsessions:
1) Blogging!!
2) NCIS (It's been months since I discovered it, and I still can't get enough!)
2) NCIS (It's been months since I discovered it, and I still can't get enough!)
3) Blogging.
3 fears:
1) That I will never have an empty nest. At least 5 out of the 9 people currently living in my house should be out on their own. (I love you all, but you know it's true!)
2) spiders!! I hate them, they have way to many legs and when they look at me like that it gives me the chills!
3) That I will someday NOT get up when life knocks me down.
3 random facts:
1) I used to date Diane's brother, Scott, when we were in high school.
2) I once got my finger stuck in a custom steering wheel and had to go to the emergency room to have it removed. (I am NOT kidding and would be glad to tell you the whole story if you buy me lunch!)
3) I secretly hope that I will never have an empty nest. (It would be so boring!)
So, there you go, Diane, I hope you're happy now. I may have exceeded my blog quota for the week by blogging twice in one day, but at least I'm not 'it' anymore.
I hereby tag: Jenna, Cherie, and Marcie (but I don't think she'll play--surprise me, Marcie, play tag with me!)

Okay, I'll Play!
I have been officially 'tagged' by my friend, Jenna, so here goes:
Ten years ago I was: living in Atlanta. Six kids between 5 and 16. Eleanor was working part time at Little Caesar's. Laura playing soccer non-stop, Jacob in gymnastics, Mary ruled the neighborhood with her posse of friends, Sam had just finished Kindergarten and Peter was getting ready to start. Summer was filled with trips to Powder Springs Pool, the Atlanta Zoo, the movies, the park, Stone Mountain, Six Flags, and the occasional Braves game.
Five things on today's "to do list': Did you say '5'? I wish for a day when there were only 5 things on my to do list! Okay, wash the sheets & quilt from my bed, help Peter finish (hopefully) his Eagle Scout paperwork, watch the NCIS marathon (I can wish, can't I!), vacuum the upstairs hall, work with Sam and Peter on their summer school packets, watch Sirius & Sabian (Eleanor worked last night and didn't get in until 4:30 A.M.), and maybe take the kids to a movie later. ('Kung Fu Panda' or 'Wall-E', hard to choose!)
I enjoy: a good book, road trips, family movie night, a finished project, classic rock and watching World Cup Soccer.
I have lived in: Minnesota, Utah, Georgia, Tennessee and South Carolina.
I tag: Laura & Jennie (separate entries, please) and Cherie. (I would tag my brother, Peter, but he is Soooooo last year and doesn't have a blog yet)
